Federation University offers advanced standing or credit for courses/units passed or qualifications completed where they are deemed equivalent to those offered at Federation . It is suggested that you formally request a credit transfer when you apply. You can find the application form and explore what credits you might be eligible for using the Online Credit Search tool; note this is only indicative and a formal decision will be made based on your application.

You must provide certified copies of your academic results and course syllabus (units, synopsis, number of hours, textbooks used, assessment) for courses studied outside Federation so that credit can be assessed. You may be able to access these from the website of your previous institution or you may need to request this information be provided to you. When your application has been assessed you will receive an email to your student email address confirming the outcome. It is important that you apply early in your study at Federation so that you don't enrol and complete a course that you could have been offered credit for.

TAFE students may be eligible to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) of formal or informal training and education, work experience or general life experience. Contact Student HQ at your campus for further information and advice on how to apply.
