Work integrated learning (WIL) integrates learning with its application in the workplace. It includes mandatory clinical placements for students in nursing, midwifery, paramedicine, clinical psychology, clinical exercise physiology and social work. Students in education and business programs may be required to complete work integrated learning.

WIL may be real or simulated and can occur in the workplace, at the University, online or face-to-face. Other opportunities available include professional experience, voluntary placements, industry-based projects, simulated work experiences and Federation’s Industry Placement Program.

You should make yourself familiar with the expectations and requirements specific to your program.
