The SELT surveys are our Student Evaluations of Learning and Teaching (SELT –formerly eVALUate), also called the Learner Questionnaire (LQ) in TAFE.
The SELT allows students to provide feedback on the learning and teaching within their courses. We use the data collected as a part of the continual cycle of improvement of learning and teaching across the institution. Students are notified by email when the surveys are available.
Responses to the survey allow staff to reflect on the student perspective, and make important changes to both the course content and the way in which the teaching is undertaken. Student feedback is very important to the enhancement of the student experience at Federation, and each Course Description will therefore contain commentary by the Coordinator on the specific changes that have been made to the course as a result of recent student feedback.
