Your lecturer will use 'instructional words' to explain how they expect you to respond to an essay, assignment or exam question.
To help you to interpret what is required in the assessment tasks listed in your course descriptions or tutorial activities, you can access examples of some of the most commonly used instructional words and their meanings.
