If you are studying at a location, such as Online, and the Moodle course is for a different location such as Mt Helen, this could reflect that the Online student cohort in Moodle is being combined with the face-to-face cohort to streamline management by the Course Coordinator or Lecturer.

  • Check in mySC to confirm that you are enrolled at the correct location. Student HQ at your campus will be able to help you with any enrolment issues.
  • Go into the available Moodle course and check the information inside. The Coordinator may have information in the Course Description or in a Welcome Notice or Forum/News posting that explains how the course will run in Moodle and may include mention of combined cohorts. If there is no information you can contact the Course Coordinator or Lecturer.
  • To manage multiple student cohorts in Moodle courses, Course Coordinators allocate students to groups such as Online and On campus. Where this setting has been implemented, you will only be able to view the items that have been allocated to your group. If there appears to be a problem with the group that you are in, you need to contact the Course Coordinator/Lecturer.
