The Centre for Gippsland Studies is a research centre in Gippsland specialising in the history, Aborigines, environment, social sciences and literature of Gippsland and committed to understanding the past, present and future of the Gippsland region. The Centre is led by the Director, Professor Erik Eklund. 

Building on over 21 years of community engagement, the Centre's research efforts are underpinned by the Centre for Gippsland Studies Library collection, and a growing cohort of research students studying Gippsland-related topics.

Staff and research students from other Australian or international universities may wish to visit Gippsland for fieldwork or research purposes. For enquiries please contact the Director.
