This is the term we give to the process of determining whether you are eligible to receive credit (exemptions or advanced standing) based on your previous study or work experience, towards the completion of your chosen Federation University qualification.
You can use the Online Credit Search tool to get an indication if your previous study might count towards a Federation course. The Online Credit Search will continue to develop over time so don't be concerned if you are not able to find your country, previous institution or course listed. You may still be eligible for credit.
By recognising your previous study or work experience, credits can enable you to reduce the number of courses/subjects that you need to study to complete your qualification. It is recommended that you apply for credit at the time you apply to study. If you didn't apply, but feel that you could be eligible you should speak to one of the staff in Student HQ so that this can be finalised and incorporated into your study plan.
