Whether you are a Year 12 or Non Year 12 (mature-age) applicant, there are common requirements that must be met to apply to study an initial teacher degree such as Bachelor of Education (Primary), Bachelor of Health and Physical Education or Master of Teaching (Secondary).

  • All applicants must sit the CASPer test. CASPer is a requirement for many of the initial teacher training courses in Victoria. It is a non-cognitive online test designed to assess an applicant's personal and professional attributes. To register for your sitting or further information about the test visit the CASPer website
  • To ensure you meet VTAC deadlines for each offer round go to the VTAC website
  • All applicants are required to hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to undertaking professional placements. 
  • Applicants will be required to hold a valid National Police Record Check for professional placements

Some applicants may be required to complete a literacy and/or numeracy test. Applicants required to complete the test will be notified.
